Experience
• 15 years of experience playing a variety of genres, from classical to metal.
• Studied under the legendary Matthew Mills (solo artist ranked Top 50 Fastest Guitarists of All Time by Guitar World) and Teemu Mäntysaari (Wintersun, Megadeth).
• Currently playing, writing, recording, and producing for the critically acclaimed progressive metal act Cepheidae Variable.

Offering
• Lessons, youth to adult: In-person in the Kelowna-Glenmore area, or online.
• A focus on proper technique that can be applied to all genres without limitation.
• Practical theory and songwriting.
• Electric guitar focus; however, assistance with acoustic guitar is also available.

Ryan Koepke’s musical journey started with learning rock and blues, taking inspiration from artists such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and King Crimson, before discovering progressive metal through the band Dream Theater. The heightened technical requirements of this music drove him to pursue advanced abilities, allowing him to write and play whatever strange things he heard in his head.

He aims to help each student reach a skill level where they feel comfortable on the instrument, so they can focus on the music they enjoy without feeling frustrated or limited.

He is also experienced in arrangement, mixing, mastering, production, and music marketing. Lessons are tailored to the student, whether they are a hobbyist or someone looking to develop the skill sets required to record, perform, and release music.
