Piano and Flute
Rhiannon Jones is a Kelowna based teacher and musician who offers flute and piano lessons for all ages and levels with a supportive and fun learning environment.
Rhiannon graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor’s in Music and a Minor in Business from the University of Victoria. She has studied flute under the guidance of Christine Moore, principal flute for the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, Mark McGregor and Dr. Suzanne Snizek at the University of Victoria. She has also participated in masterclasses with Susan Hoeppner, Lorna McGhee and Christie Reside.
Rhiannon gained experience through solo performances, by occupying the principal flute chair in the Okanagan Youth Symphony for 4 years and has played flute and piccolo in ensembles such as the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, the Okanagan Wind Symphony and the Spectrum Singers. During her degree she was a member of the UVic Orchestra, the UVic Chorus and various chamber groups.
Outside of music, Rhiannon achieved her black belt in karate and competed National Championships for karate and golf. She was a member of the Varsity Women’s Golf Team at UVic and competed as a professional golfer.
